After a month holiday in Perth, Aus, it's time to get back to reality... The day after i landed at LCCT at 2130, on 1st of December, i had to dragged myself out of bed early in the morning and get ready to work. I was really lucky that i got posted to PPUM, which is 5 minutes away from my home...if no traffic jam =)...
When i reached there before 8am, i headed straight to the Human Resources Dpeartment which is at 14th floor. Luckily 1 of my batchmate, KSL was there. While waiting for the person in charged to call us in, i got a phone call from JW, asking us to go to the conference room to attend a talk straight away.
Being very blur and sleepy (due to jet lag), i just went in to attend the talk. The talk is about Drug Information Service (DIS) by Ms Pauline Lai. She went through all the functions of DIS, the aims and objectives of DIS, the steps involved in DIS and etc.... After 1 hour of talk, suddenly she mentioned about DIS assignment which is going to be due on 22/12....what! ASSIGNMENTS on my first day of work!!! this is not a good sign....hmmm
After the talk, both of us went up again to 14th floor to complete our registration with HR. Later, we were sent to go round the hospital to get our Kad Besta (discount card for staffs at food court), to get our name tags etc. Later, we were brought to tour around the 3 main Pharmacy departments in PPUM : Outpatient (a.k.a "Hell"), Inpatient (a.k.a "Earth") and PharmCare (a.k.a "Heaven").
How "lucky" we were, we got sent to Outpatient to start work because there wasnt enough staffs there, wrong timing! So we had to start at the so-called "Hell" first. The head of OPD, En. Mat Noor introduced us the staffs at OPD and gave us a short briefing about OPD. He gave us our job, to start off with packing for the next 1 week.
So, that's about it...1st day of work...tiring! really tiring!
